AmiReady is an online practice platform designed to help Israeli university students prepare for the Amirnet (אמירנ"ט) English proficiency exam. The platform offers practice exercises, mock exams, and AI-assisted essay feedback to support students throughout their preparation.

This site is operated as a student project and beta product. We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly and transparently.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following information:

Full name, email address, and username (provided by you on registration)
Practice scores and session history (stored locally in your browser)
Mock exam results and scores (stored locally in your browser)
Essay submissions reviewed by AI (stored locally in your browser)
Browser and device type (collected automatically via standard web server logs)

We do NOT collect: payment information, location data, or social media profiles.

3. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used for the following purposes:

To create and manage your AmiReady account
To display your practice progress on the dashboard
To verify your registration status and approval

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Where Data Is Stored

Registration information — including your name, email address, and username — is stored in Supabase, a cloud database service hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany), and subject to GDPR-compliant data processing standards.

Your practice scores, exam history, and learning progress are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

5. Third-Party Services

AmiReady uses the following third-party services:

Supabase (supabase.com) — cloud database used to store user registration data
Google Fonts (fonts.google.com) — used for typography; Google may log your IP address when fonts are loaded
Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — website hosting and content delivery network (CDN)

Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns about their data practices.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & Israeli Privacy Law)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law (5741–1981), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

The right to access the personal data we hold about you
The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
The right to request deletion of your account and associated data
The right to object to the processing of your personal data

7. Cookies & Local Storage

AmiReady uses your browser's localStorage — not cookies — to store your practice data locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to any server and is not accessible to third parties. Please note that the site may begin using cookies in the near future for additional functionality.

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies of any kind. Please note that Google Fonts may set its own cookies as part of their font delivery service, over which we have no control.

8. Data Retention

We retain your registration data (name, email, username) for as long as your account remains active on the platform. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data from our database promptly.

Practice data stored in your browser's localStorage is retained on your device until you clear your browser data or explicitly delete it within the app. We have no access to or control over this data once it is stored locally.
